At Amberley and the Victorian Fete Oamaru 2015

Amberley A&P Show 2015

Amberley A&P Show 2015

Amberley turned on a beautiful sunny day for the A & P Show. It was very nice to be on the stand with the folks from Black & Coloured Sheep Breeders’ Association. We had many interests in common like spinning, knitting and a concern about the dry winter we have just had.

I had a stall at the Oamaru Victorian Fete, where there was great music and unusual competitions like gurning and Oamaru stone cutting as well as many interesting and yummy things to buy, including the Knitted-Cats which were well received.

It was good to see my friend Marie. She dropped by the stall wearing the cape I had sewn for her. The material was hand dyed, spun and woven.

Next I will be at the Amberley A&P Show held in the Amberley Domain on the 31 October 2015, We (that’s the Knitted-Cats and I) will be in the Black and Coloured Sheep stand, come and say hello.

The Christmas Country Fête went well despite the cloudy weather. Good to see some of you took advantage of my fete specials.

The Culverden Fete 2015

Well finally after many years the Knitted-Cats will be for sale to the public!

fete-logoYou can see me (Sonja) and the Knitted-Cats at The Christmas Country Fête held just outside of Culverdon NZ on the 29th October 2015.  Find us in the BlackHills stall where most of the yarn for this batch of Knitted-Cats came from.

The background story: A friend David had a photography workshop at Hamner Springs and needed some soft toy “models”, the Knitted-Cats were most obliging and did a good job of looking gorgeous.

On the way to the workshop David and I called into BlackHills to look at some yarn. Next thing the Knitted-Cats were out of the car and strutting their charms in front of Beverly (owner of BlackHills). One thing led to another and now we are going to The Culverdon Fete with her. Thanks Beverley.
